Details of the Boat Excursion
After a tour of the Sirmione peninsula, we head towards the impressive cliff of Rocca di Manerba, the Island of San Biagio, the lovely Isola del Garda and the fascinating Costa Romantica. Here we continue northwards, admiring the coastline between Toscolano Maderno and Gargnano, the site of Villa Feltrinelli, where Mussolini once lived. We’ll cross the lake to the Veneto side, where we’ll find the picturesque Punta San Vigilio and the Golfo di Garda, home to Villa Canossa; following the shore we’ll pass Bardolino and Lazise before finally returning to Sirmione. During the tour it’s possible to stop for lunch and again to visit one of the lakeside towns.
Gargnano and Villa Feltrinelli
The tranquility and charm of the little town of Gargnano is the perfect setting for Villa Feltrinelli, once home to Mussolini and now a luxury hotel which has retained its original architecture and atmosphere.
The lemon houses that perch high above the lake make this view unique and fascinating.
