Virgilio's phrases: our manifesto

Virgilio Bertoldi, a pillar of our company, used to encourage us with a few phrases every day, that are engraved in our hearts.

In fact, the company’s priorities and philosophy are outlined in them, which effectively conveys our core values and the basis on which our guidelines and, consequently, our choices rest.

"The customer must get off board satisfied" › memories to be experienced

Virgilio was well aware of the importance of customer satisfaction, which comes from the happiness that only a good experience can give you: that’s why he always spurred us on by repeating this phrase, which has remained in our hearts.

Every effort has been and will continue to be made in this direction, in order to remain in people’s hearts with indelible memories linked to special emotions: we make our experiences special so that our customers go home satisfied.

"When you do something, do it right" › We pay attention to every detail

It is a simple concept, but it is one of the main ingredients to ensure the best result: maximum commitment and total dedication to achieve maximum satisfaction. “Doing every little thing well” was the standard Virgilio demanded of our suppliers, our staff and even himself.

That is why we care about all the nuances of our services: the care of the hulls, the cleanliness, the photos, the communication, and the quality of the food and packaging you will find on board. Details make a difference, and we take care of them, one by one, in the best possible way.”

"You are rich and you don't know it..." › Tradition and innovation

This sentence did not stop there because “…for the time available” was added. What Virgilio was trying to tell us is that, as obvious as it seems, the latter is the most valuable asset each of us has.

Therefore, we have always respected every facet of time: admiring our past and living in the present, with an eye to the future. Although our more than 130 years of history have earned us recognition as a historic activity in the Lombardy region, from the very beginning we have always used the experience of our tradition to benefit from innovation.

"The lake is yours too" › Our sustainability

Virgilio repeated this to everyone who behaved well (or badly) towards the water and nature of the lake, reminding them of the great responsibility that each of us has. It is true that everything around us gives us a lot, but it is also true that we have to give back just as much, respecting it as if it were something “ours” for which we are inescapably responsible.

In following Virgilio’s advice, we have always been aware of the need for commitment and respect for the nature around us and for the people with whom we work every day. This special care has allowed us to create something authentic and sustainable that has coexisted with its ecosystem for over 130 years.
